Oil India Limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation on 12 March 2026 to strengthen healthcare facilities in tribal areas of Madhya Pradesh. The initiative focuses on improving health infrastructure in Rajgarh district, an Aspirational District. Under the project, ₹86.27 lakh has been sanctioned to equip Community Health Centres and Primary Health Centres with ambulances, ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and diagnostic equipment. The initiative aims to improve healthcare access for tribal communities and support inclusive development.
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on 12 March 2026 between Oil India Limited (OIL) and the National Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation (NSTFDC). The agreement was signed at OIL’s corporate office in Noida.
The initiative focuses on strengthening healthcare infrastructure in tribal regions. Under the project, ₹86.27 lakh has been sanctioned to improve healthcare facilities in Rajgarh district of Madhya Pradesh. Rajgarh is identified as an Aspirational District under the Aspirational District Programme.
The project will upgrade healthcare facilities at:
• Community Health Centres (CHCs)
• Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
The support includes:
• Ambulances
• Ventilators
• CPAP and BiPAP machines
• Ultrasound (USG) machines
• Diagnostic and life-care equipment
The main objective is to improve access to quality healthcare for tribal and underserved communities.
NSTFDC is a Section 8 company under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs. It works for socio-economic development of Scheduled Tribes by providing financial assistance, skill development and livelihood opportunities.
The initiative also aligns with the government’s inclusive development goals and the vision of building a “Viksit Bharat”. It supports improvement of healthcare services in remote tribal areas and strengthens the public health system.
