Jal Mahotsav 2026: Promoting Water Conservation and Community Participation in India

Jal Mahotsav 2026 was organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti from 8–22 March 2026 to promote water conservation and community participation in rural drinking water management. President Droupadi Murmu addressed the event in New Delhi on 11 March 2026 and emphasized the importance of water security for future generations. The Government of India organised Jal Mahotsav 2026 as a nationwide campaign to strengthen water conservation and community participation in water management. The event was organised by the Ministry of Jal Shakti from 8 March to 22 March 2026.
